About Us

Discover Africa with Our Expert Safari Guides

Serengeti Baobab Safaris is a locally owned and operated safari company based in Arusha. We were founded with a mission that goes beyond travel. As a proud sister company of the Tanzania Conservation and Community Empowerment Initiative, we serve not only as a tour operator but also as a means to sustain and expand essential conservation and community empowerment efforts throughout rural Tanzania. With every journey we organize, we directly contribute to improving livelihoods, protecting biodiversity, and supporting vulnerable communities.

The name Serengeti Baobab Safaris captures our essence. Inspired by the vast plains of the Serengeti and the iconic Baobab Tree, known as the “Tree of Life,” we stand for resilience, nourishment, and connection. The baobab sustains both people and wildlife, offering food, shelter, and water in Africa’s toughest environments. With this spirit, we embark on journeys that honor life, uplift communities, protect wildlife, and safeguard the natural world for future generations.

We specialize in tailor-made safari experiences to Tanzania’s most renowned destinations, including the iconic Serengeti National Park, the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, and the wildlife-rich Tarangire National Park. For travellers seeking something more remote and exclusive, we also offer journeys to hidden gems such as Ruaha National Park and Nyerere National Park, where unspoiled wilderness offers an authentic safari experience.

Beyond safaris, we provide unforgettable trekking adventures to Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro, the “Roof of Africa,” as well as to Mount Meru and the unique active volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai. Our itineraries also include immersive cultural experiences with indigenous communities, such as the Maasai and Hadzabe, offering rare insights into some of the world’s oldest living cultures.

For those seeking relaxation, we arrange idyllic beach holidays to the turquoise shores of Zanzibar and Mafia Island. Additionally, our conservation expedition trips give travellers a unique opportunity to actively participate in on-the-ground conservation and community projects, creating meaningful connections and lasting impact.

At Serengeti Baobab Safaris, travel is more than an experience; it is a force for good. For us, you travel with purpose.
